After a ton of research on Muskegon Boat Storage, I finally found a place that offers affordable ‘heated’ boat storage. Below, I list all the places that I called (9/08) and their rates for trailered storage; I also include a ‘cold’ storage price as well.

UPDATE!

I am NO LONGER using Waterfront Storage. My Pontoon (because of the upper deck) was used to patch their roof without my permission (they left footprints on my carpet of a black substance that I had to clean up). The roof also leaked on my Pontoon and they cleaned it but it is now discolored from what I believe they used – it’s supper yellow and only when sitting in the sun for a few days does it lighten up, but the yellow comes back. Very frustrating.

The kicker for me was my Jetskis – they had grease all over them – I’ll post pictures of all this and explain each when I get time. I had to clean these myself (VERY HARD TO GET OFF!) and when I contacted Brett, he apologized and offered to come over to my home and clean them, but by that point, I had decided I’m done.

I no longer recommend them.

To cut to the chase, the winner for Heated Boat Storage was Waterfront Storage LLC. I talked with Brett Rendulic from Kirksey & Associates who quoted me $570 for cold storage and $800 for heated storage for my 30 foot Tritoon. That comes to $3.33 Square Foot for indoor heated storage with the ability to work on it in the winter! Note: on their website, it states $3.85, but I’ll bet that if you mention to Brett (he runs the place) that you would like the same rate I received, he’ll work with you; Brett is at extension 231.

The contract I had to sign was short and sweet and can be found here: Waterfront Storage

The best deal in town for Cold Boat Storage is Baker Marine Service Boat and Storage at $100 for the winter! The person to talk with is Steve at (231) 206-4993; they also offer winterization, maintenance and shrink wrap.

Here are the higher priced boat storage facilities in Muskegon:

West Michigan Dock & Market Corporation offers heated boat storage for $4.50 PSF; I talked with Larry and their number is (231) 722-6691

The Mark Dock came in at $4.50 PSF for heated boat storage. They are located in Muskegon and full rate information can be found here: http://www.martdock.com/storagerates.html

Torresen Marine came in at $5.00 PSF for their heated storage. Located in Muskegon with rate information available at http://www.torresen.com/aboutUs.php?p=storage

Pointe Marine charges $5.90 for their heated boat storage but at the time of my call, they were full. Their website is located at http://www.muskegoncharterboats.com/

Great Lakes Marina came in at $5.99 PSF for heated storage. They are located in Muskegon and rate information can be found here: http://www.greatlakesmarina.com/insideheatedstoragerates.html

I tried Whitehall just out of curiosity, after all, it’s just a short boat ride there, and found Moxie Marine. I talked with Bonnie who was very helpful and stated they are the cheapest heated storage on White Lake at $5.95 PSF.

Note, these quotes and associated documents and links are what I found on the internet. I made calls and have done my best to provide you with the most accurate information available, but it may not be 100% accurate; I strongly urge you to contact the storage facility to verify accuracy before making any decisions.

Happy Boating…
