This site may harm your computer

[Jan 31st, 9:30am] I noticed my stats were down this morning and instinctively went to Google to check for serp changes. I noticed that when searching for my keyword phrase, I found that, above my site listing, was the following warning: ‘This site may harm your computer’.

I almost passed out! I have spent the last month working on this site and then to wake up and see this was almost too much!

I’ve included a screen shot below and if you click on the image, you’ll see the entire search result:

It took me a few minutes to recover, but when I did, I noticed that this warning was on every site across the board!

I also did multiple tests, including searching for different terms and even isolating results to just .gov sites, and the results were the same for every property on the net!

I’m guessing that Google is playing with new phishing technology that helps warn web surfers of dangerous sites; I just wish they would try this new service on a test server rather than use live results.

It’s going to be a sad Saturday!
