Sybok
The Final Frontier
I just had to comment on the resemblance between Sybok and Saddam.
In Star Trek V: The Final Frontier, Actor Laurence Luckinbill born November 21, 1934, played the role of Sybok, Spock’s emotional, religious half-brother, an awesome actor and was key to the movie’s success.
I saw a picture today of Saddam at trial and could not help but notice the resemblance. Here is a picture of Sybok and Saddam side by side:

More information about Sybok
Luckinbill is the son-in-law of legendary comic couple Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz. Ball and Arnaz founded Desilu Studios, the company that originally produced Star Trek: The Original Series.
Although primarily a stage actor, Luckinbill has made several appearances in film and television. Luckinbill started his television acting career as a regular on the soap opera The Secret Storm during the 1967-68 season.
Sybok gave an excellent performance in Star Trek V: The Final Frontier.

Spybok and Spock
Sybok is Spock’s half brother by way of Sarek and a Vulcan princess. Sybok was an exceptionally brilliant student and favored for a spot among Vulcan’s elite; however Sybok’s rejection of the Vulcan way of pure logic eliminated this possibility.
Sybok believed in being one with emotion and possessed the ability to read another’s deepest fear / pain. ‘This pain must be exposed and reckoned with. It must be dragged from the darkness and forced into the light.’ By sharing your pain with Sybok, you would gain a greater understanding of your weakness and therefore become stronger. You would also become loyal to Sybok, for he helped you conquer your greatest fear.
Sybok’s life quest was to find the physical location of heaven; to accomplish this, he hijacked the ‘U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-A’ using his unique ability to gain loyalty. Believing he had found heaven, he meets a powerful entity masquerading as God. Although Sybok believes he found God, Kirk questions the entity and reveals to the others the truth.
Sybok realizes this and makes the entity aware that he senses pain. Sybok’s last words were ‘Your pain, it runs deep. Share it with me.” and it consumed by the entity which buys precious time for the crew to escape
