Recognize Your Magnets!

True NorthEach of us has a compass that points true north, some follow it, others do not. That compass can guide you through the maze that is life, allow you to accomplish your dreams and transform the negative into positive.

Unfortunately, life also places powerful magnets in your path; these magnets not only attract, but skew true north. We can easily forget to step away from the attraction and verify our course; without the correction, the way will become lost.

German photographer Walter Schels captured images of 24 people, some lost their way while others found true north. These images are of people ranging in age from 17 months to 83 years young before and after their death.

How we handle death is as important as how we handle life. To understand life, we must understand death. Schels partner, Beate Lakotta, spent time with each subject in their final days and listened as they shared their thoughts during the end of their life.

The pictures and thoughts of each person are on display in London; however, you can visit the guardian to see them online.

Learn to recognize your magnets and understand them for what they really are before it’s too late.
