Did you hear about the Former Orkin Pest Control Employee that collected $5M in a Whistle-Blower Lawsuit? Search Google.com for it and read up.

Okay, Tiffany contacted me again!

I have two sites, one covers herbivorous insects in general and another more focused on millipedes. Because the millipede is herbivorous, I link to this site from my more general site.

Tiffany from Orkin web link development did research on my millipede site and tracked any links coming into that site, then looked up the restricted whois information, grabbed my email for that site, then spammed me with the following:

Dear Website owner,

My name is Tiffany Hamilton and I work for Orkin.com, the pest control service.
We've noticed your link to [my millipede site] at the top of your post.

While we do know how terrible millipedes can be, we wondered why you chose [my millipede site] as your link and wonder if our millipede page, http ://www. orkin.com/other/millipedes?, could be added as well. Millipedes can be a problem and on a campaign on trying to inform others about Millipedes, a link to our Millipede resource would be a tremendous help.

If you have any other questions please feel free to ask.

Thanks,
Tiffany Hamilton

So, Orkin Pest Control is finding popular sites and writing the owners to obtain links, then also finding anyone that links to that popular site and trying to get them to replace or add their link as well. If anyone is wondering how companies such as this are building links, here you have it!

Orkin Pest Control keeps on spamming with total disregard for rules set forth on harvesting email addresses from whois information; illegal and very irritating!
