Maddocksssdd1 Scam – explore Google Apps Premier Edition

Just received this today, it’s a scam and Google is not creating sample accounts for people. You’ll see Maddocksssdd1@yourdomain.com and when you sign in with the username and password, you’ll be asked for personal information.

Should you divulge that personal information, you’re identity will likely be sold, your credit made worthless and you’re bank account drained. DO NOT response to this email, it’s a phishing attempt aimed at your life!

Hello,

We’re excited to help you explore Google Apps Premier Edition with a fully-functional sample account. We have created a sample user called admin at your sample domain maddocksssdd1jamesmaurercom.sample-ga.com. With this account, you can explore all the administrative capabilities as well as the apps for end-users to help you decide if Google Apps is right for your business.

To access your sample account, visit https://www.google.com/a/cpanel/maddocksssdd1jamesmaurercom.sample-ga.com/SampleHub and login with the following credentials:

Username: admin
Password: SttwhTtd.

Three important notes before you begin:

This sample account is for testing purposes only and will expire after 14 days. Any changes made in your sample account will not be saved after this expiration date.

For ideas on how you can try out the administrative controls and the applications for end users, visit our sample account overview: http://www.google.com/apps/intl/en/business/sample_account.html

After signing into your sample account, you’ll find answers to frequently asked questions, how to get Google Apps for your whole company, and how to begin an assisted pilot if your business has more than 50 employees.

Because you have been selected, you’re account and application selection will be free for life, regardless of how much we charge at a later date. If you act before the 14 days expire, and let us know the number of employees you would like to reserve, then that amount will also be free for life.

Happy Testing,
The Google Apps Team
