I took these deer pictures yesterday as I was looking down towards the lake. It’s ice fishing time here is Alaska and the guys were bringing out their ice shanty’s, they spooked a heard of deer.
There are two ice shanty’s our there now, but later in the day, it turns into a little city on ice!

Except for a small portion, most of the lake is frozen over. The only real danger about ice fishing here is that those spearing fish cut a very large rectangular section out of the ice. Most of the time the fishermen mark them with twigs to prevent others from falling in, unfortunately, it only takes a strong wind to blow away the twig and cover the hole with snow. Deer and humans alike could be walking into a surprise!
More deer pictures will be posted as I snap them – these white tail deer move fast, so it’s hard get just the right picture.
I completely think that the deer is a unique animal because of it’s humbleness and purity of what it eats and it’s fearless ways…
Are you asking about Psalm 42:1 which states (As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, O God)?
If so, then I see that as a person (the deer) running as it can, but always in search of water; that water will renew and invigorate, it is necessary for life, it is power, it is God. Without water, we will wither and die.
Perhaps Isaiah 35:6? (Then the lame man will leap like a deer, and the tongue of the mute will sing; for waters will break out in the wilderness, and streams in the desert).
Or, perhaps you were just wondering why they appear to be running in the picture? The deer in the picture travel back and forth from the stream and I happened to capture the image one lucky day, something must have spooked them as they usually walk.
It’s late, so perhaps I completely missed the point of your question?
I’am studying the bible and in this text I’m in it is talking about deers , so I wonder if you could help me out. When a deer runs to the streams what is the reason!
I wonder if he has a stand there?
