Computer Sponge
A computer sponge spammer tagged me today and I went right along with it. Life is not an easy ride and there are some out there that while unemployed, had no other option than to take a job at a call center.
If you don’t know what a call center is like, they are companies that look for massive buildings, set up hundreds, sometimes thousands of cubicles and fill them with people who have the unfortunate job of calling 100’s of people per day trying to push a product, service or gather your personal information.
The lady that called me today and asked me if I have use flat screens, and of course I said yes. She then said that she’ll be sending me a fruit basket and for some reason, I stayed on the line. I was hungry at the time (hey, thing they guessed that?) and I started seeing a big red apple, grapes and more… I know..
The spammer asked me if I had heard of the Computer Sponge and I said no. She babbled on about how safe they were and ended the pitch with, ‘Now Jim, this is something you could use, right?’. I explained that we use little cleaners that come in a box and cost about a couple of buck for a 100 of them. She was lost for words, then told me she would send a catalog of with the computer sponge in it and hung up.
So, if you get someone trying to sell you a computer sponge, beware, you’re being spammed
