Commission Junction Duplicate Transactions
Just when I thought I was having a great day I receive this update on Commission Junction duplicate transactions!
Dear Valued Publisher,
We want to let you know that we are fully aware of the duplicate transaction issue currently affecting you. Our engineering team has been working diligently for the past 24 hours and the good news is we’re almost complete with the resolution. Here’s what you need to know:
* All pixel transaction from approx. 5 PM PDT on 6/5 through approx. noon PDT on 6/8 were duplicated in the system. This did not affect batch transactions.
* We have currently reversed all transactions and are in the process of reprocessing the valid transactions.
* These transactions currently appear with a reason code, “Compliance”; this will be changed later today to be listed with the code reason, “Other”.
* All batch transaction processing has been halted and queued while this issue is being resolved. Batch processing will resume no later than 6/10.
* All transactions and reason codes should be complete and correct later today. The “Transaction Issue” message currently posted in the CJ Account Manager will be updated when the issue is fully resolved.
* The cause of Commission Junction duplicate transactions was the installation of a parallel processor, which is a good thing for the network. Unfortunately we encountered some configuration errors that created these duplicate transactions.
We know these issues are distracting to say the least and we do apologize for the error. If you have any questions, please contact your account representative or client services directly and we’ll do all we can to help.
Sincerely,
The Commission Junction Team
