AMS Group Company

Here is a nice spin in times of need, an email that looks like it’s addressed to you and offering a nice compensation package. All they ask in return is that you send in your resume. I’m most confident that you’ll receive a response back telling you that you have been chosen and they simply need some more information, such as your social security number, drivers license number and few other -small- details.

Here is the letter I received. If I had more time, I’d send in some bogus information and see what shakes out.

Thank you for posting and alerting people on this. I also received this letter from such Jessica McNeil, but I knew something did not sound right, so I did my homework and your posting came up.

Too many of these scams going on!

I received this email also. The invitation to call with no phone number attached, the gmail address and the “credit score requirement” were all big tip offs to it being a scam. It’s a shame that some people may fall for it.

I just got this email today. It seems they’ve added another email address: amsgroup.hr@gmail.com. Looks very professional.

Thanks for you information and help. Hope, that as many people as possible read this blog and do NOT reply to the mail from “AMS group”.

I immediately became suspicious when they stated I needed a credit score of at least 650; that indicated to me they would need my social security number which I had no intention of giving to them.

I decided to do a little recearch on this company. Lo and behold, I found this blog - It pays to do your homework!

If we are the few that catch these people, thing of the desperate others that don’t…

Thanks for posting this. I was forwarded the same job posting by a friend, and sent in my resume. I was contacted and then I was asked to give my work address and phone number, then I was hired.

I was definately skeptical after they said that I was hired. I didn’t even interview. What made me even more skeptical was that they wanted me to go to Apple Inc. and buy a bunch of computers right away. They are supposed to be sending me some forms and securing the payment. Originally, the computers were to be used for a new office here, but then the last I heard was that I was supposed to send the computers overseas.

The person that I was dealing with is named Anna Kolski and her email is anna_kolski@amsagency.biz which looked pretty real, and the website was half-decent, but still a bit cheesy.

I asked her if I could speak with the hiring manager, but she had said that the manager was on vacation. What a coincidence. Well, I’m glad that I did not send any personal information.

    Back to my job search!

Days into my job search I was sent the same job ad that had been posted, but the title was for Purchasing agent. I had sent a resume in response to this company and they called me on my cell phone to discuss the details of the offer that they need to fill in August. I asked them to send me a detailed list of the benefits because they seem to be too good to be true. They added a great deal more than originally discussed.

I decided to do a little more research and found your blog. I have not given them any vital information, but I’m concerned that they have enough information from my resume.
