Do you ever find yourself staring at a pine cone or other object in nature and wondering why there is a pattern? Well, I don’t either, but those that do show us that the pattern is one in the Fibonacci Sequence.
The Fibonacci series is produced by starting with 1 and adding the last two numbers to arrive at the next. Every 3rd number of the sequence is even 1,1,2,3,5,8,13,21,34, …. 11258
These numbers appear in nature, everywhere. In a pine cone, it is 5:8. In a pineapple it is 8:13, branching in trees, uncurling of ferns and more.
Next time you’re looking at a daisy, take a good long look and you’ll find the pattern fits into the Fibonacci sequence. 11258
